I used this funeral home in the 2000's for my parents, both cremated. Back then you could get a death certificate in 3 days, but the issuing office transferred to Santa Fe. At the same time our mail distributing center has gone down to El Paso. So now a death certificate can take 2 weeks or more. That is not the funeral home's fault; however, we are still unclear why our certificate request got lost in the system, and if I did not follow up on where it was it could have been 3-4 weeks for the death certificate to arrive. What I do know is that when I called and got the owner and manager they had answers for this problem, but their promise to call us as soon as the certificate came in was not followed and we were at the funeral in San Antonio we had to call them even though the certificate was in their possession and they never called us! The frustration!

  • They are wonderful, patient and kind. Daniel and Gaby were very sweet and made me feel at ease through my loss.

  • This funeral home is top notch. They are patient and answer all your questions, even if they may seem trivial to you they handle it with care. Everything was explained to me, cost were low and before I signed any paperwork, I was explained in detail what was happening. The courtesy that I received from Gaby and Daniel was amazing. They treated my father with so much respect and care. I would highly recommend this funeral home for your loved ones needs.

We used them for my grandmother who just passed and they were okay, that is, until they found out we had bought a casket online for $2,000 instead of the outrageous $5,000 for one of theirs. After that, it went down hill. During the visitation, we had the chapel booked from 4:30pm-8:00pm. Around seven, while the chapel was full of people, they decided this was a perfect time to monkey with their microphone and they were annoyingly tapping on it, testing to be sure it worked for what I have no idea. Around 7:30 there was still a good crowd, and one of the employees walked in and flashed the lights as if telling us it was time to leave. Earlier that day, they were moving the casket and they called my father to complain to him about what a weak and cheap casket we had bought. They told him that something happened to the handle, but when my dad got there, everything seemed fine. While at the graveside service, one of the men asked my dad if we were meeting afterward for a reception. My dad told him what the plans were and he took notes on his hands. This is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I also noticed that while we were standing around and talking after the graveside service, the limo drivers were leaning on trees with their feet resting on other people's gravestones. I found this extremely rude and disrespectful. Finally (please keep in mind, these are only the things I can think of off the top of my head), when we got our memory book back, first off it was in a bag with everything written on it in Spanish even though we clearly do not speak Spanish. The other problem with the book was how many typos were in it. I liked that they used typewriter on the pages, but they made so many mistakes that are not easily covered from a typewriter. Overall I was very disappointed with the services provided.

Upon doing our arrangements with Gabby, she was very sweet and caring. She did not fully explain to us exactly the amount of trouble we would have to be able to obtain our death certificates. We used my grandfathers life insurance policy and she would not release any death certificates until the life insurance company paid the funeral home, which in the past when we had done services we received them right away because the funeral home had done an assignment form and told us that that guaranteed their payment. Overall this made everything very difficult for my grandmother and made us feel as if we were a bother calling her to check on the status because these death certificates were crucial to establishing my grandmothers accounts. Overall it went from a good, to a I would not recommend type of service.
